U.K. Photographer Nick Veasey created this amazing X-ray image of a photographer shooting a Nikon D3X for the Focus on Imaging 2010 catalog cover. It’s a composite image built with Photoshop, requiring multiple x-rays of both camera and photographer. The video below shows a behind-the-scenes look of how the image was created.

Rob Galbraith has published one of the most complete and exhaustive reviews to date of Nikon's new "1" system, covering both the V1 and J1 models. Record floods in Thailand which have affected as much as a third of the country have damaged many factories including those of Nikon Corporation, who maintain a large manufacturing presence in Thailand. Currently all buildings are submerged to the first level and operations have been halted as of the 6th of October. Nikon has released the following statement describing the damage and the expected impact it will have on operations due to the heavy flooding.
